Temporary disruptions may occur when using payment cards

Please be informed that we are currently experiencing some disruptions with payment cards.

Scheduled maintenance works in the morning of 18 March

Šiaulių Bankas intends to carry out scheduled maintenance works from 03:00 until 09.00 on 18 March. The online banking system, the mobile app and payments in online stores (via BankLink and the Open Banking) will not be operational, it will not be possible to pay in cash, and staff of the Bank‘s branches will only be able to provide consulting.

Fraud is on the rise: scammers use Google Ads

Please be informed that we have detected cases of scammers using Google’s search engine advertising services. Through these services, when the keywords Šiaulių bankas internet bank are entered into a search engine, the first lines of the search engine show a fake internet bank page, which is very similar to the real Šiaulių bankas internet bank.

Certificate for annual income and asset declarations

Please be informed that you can now generate a certificate in the Internet Bank with the following data: available funds, housing loans and interest paid to the bank, repayment of student loans (or part thereof), and interest paid on term deposits, which are required for the 2022 personal income and asset declarations. Clients who have traded in securities can also generate the necessary certificates.

Information on changing hryvnia

We recently reported that an agreement was signed with the Bank of Lithuania at the beginning of October on the exchange of Ukrainian Hryvnias (UAH) into Euros (EUR). After a couple of months, the agreement expired and was not renewed, so please be informed that hryvnias are no longer exchanged at Šiaulių bankas branches.

Additional information on payment transactions related to the states subject to sanctions

After the European Union (EU) and its allies imposed large-scale sanctions and restrictive measures on the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and related entities due to Russia’s open military aggression against Ukraine and its people, we encouraged our customers to re-focus on other markets and reduce dependence on the states subject to sanctions. Having warned our customers and assessed the unacceptability of the risks posed by these states, on 1 September 2022 we stopped payments to/from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, in all currencies.

Šiaulių Bankas, the largest bank with Lithuanian capital, and Invalda INVL, the leading investment management and life insurance group in the Baltic region, on 22 November 2022 signed an agreement to merge their retail businesses in order to create a modern and customer-focused next-generation financial market participant that will subsequently increase competitiveness in a market that is dominated by institutions with foreign capital and will create value for the wider Lithuanian economy.
