Investment funds

Investment funds are collective investment vehicles, i.e. assets owned jointly by investors and invested by a fund management company according to a specific strategy. The management of the money invested in the funds is entrusted to investment professionals. Investors can choose the most appropriate type of investment fund (equity funds, bond funds, mixed funds, money market funds, index funds or funds of funds) based on their risk tolerance.

* Benchmark is an index chosen by the management company against whose performance the investment return of a fund’s portfolio is compared, and which helps the investor to assess the fund manager’s performance, to objectively compare the investment return achieved in line with the investment strategy and to determine the level of risk the fund manager is willing to accept.

  • The strategy provides for the possibility to increase the duration of the portfolio and to downgrade the rating in the event of particularly significant movements in bond prices, taking advantage of the market situation

Global emerging markets

  • We aim to maximise the Sortino ratio (a coefficient that helps us understand the relationship between average investment return and risk. The risk component of the index is expressed as the volatility of the fund’s unit price only during a dip)
  • Exceptionally high proportion of exposures not included in the benchmark*
  • Focus on value accretive bond issues by regional blue-chip companies or fundamentally solid sovereign bonds

Where do we invest?

Our investment management team consists of more than ten professionals whose experience helps us select the most appropriate investments in each country and minimise potential risks.

We focus on investments and regions that we know well, so we invest in corporate shares in Eastern Europe and bonds in the global emerging markets – from Estonia in the north to Argentina in the south. These countries are all different, but share common features in their economic development, which makes it possible to identify opportunities and reduce the chances of failure.
