The Shares of Šiaulių Bankas Included into the BALTIX Index

The shares of Šialių bankas have been enrolled for the first time into the structure of BALTIX share index of the Baltic Countries’ securities market.
The companies included into the Official List of Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn Stock Exchange were approved in the BALTIX Index for the first quarter of 2007. It includes the shares of 11 Lithuanian, 13 Estonian and 6 Latvian enterprises.
According to the information provided by Vilnius Stock Exchange, the weight of Šiaulių bankas shares will comprise 1.87 per cent of the BALTIX Index for the three months of this year. On Dec.15th last year when the number of shares in the index was reviewed for the fourth time per year according to the BALTIX calculation rules, the weight of Šiaulių bankas shares was 1.73 per cent.
After registering the amendments of the Charter of Šiaulių bankas with regard to the increase of the authorized capital at the end of 2006, the number of the Bank’s shares in public turnover exceeded one hundred million and at the moment comprise 109.039.200. Trading in the Bank’s shares in the Official List of Vilnius Stock Exchange was started on Dec. 11th last year.
The BALTIX index includes the shares of companies enrolled into the Official List of Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn Stock Exchange. This index is the main measure of the changes in the Baltic securities market reflecting the trends in share prices.
The number of shares in the BALTIX index is going to be reviewed once more on March 15th 2007 and this will be the last time. Since Jul.1st the BALTIX index will not be longer calculated as it is planned to start applying new indexes “OMX Baltic” for stock exchanges of the Baltic Countries’
