Šiaulių Bankas's Clients May Use a New E-invoice Service
At the beginning of the year Lithuania has joined the single euro payment area (SEPA) and, as a result, the provision of a direct debit service has been suspended as not complying with the requirements set out to the euro payments in the area. Šiaulių Bankas has replaced the direct debit service with a new electronic invoice (e-invoice) service, thus , facilitating payment of permanent taxes and utility bills to its clients.
"In order to allow our customer to settle their utility bills, to pay for telephone, Internet and other charges and fees more comfortably we have developed an e-invoice service which simplifies the process of payment for various services and, at client's request, may replace the paper bills. Currently the clients may receive e-invoices from the service providers, review them, mange and settle choosing convenient time and form of payment either an automatic payment or a one-time transfer in one place,i.e. in the on-line banking system SB Linija ",- says Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Šiaulių Bankas, Head of Business Development Division Daiva Šorienė.
During the process of e-invoice service implementation the direct debit agreements of Šiaulių Bankas's clients have been replaced with the automatic e-invoice payment agreements in all cases when the service providers have chosen to provide e-invoices to their clients. The bills of these bank's clients that previously have been settled by means of the direct debit after becoming e-invoices will continue to be settled automatically by debiting the required amount from specified accounts - the clients do not need to take any further actions with regard.
E-invoices in the on-line banking system of Šiaulių Bankas are provided to the clients, stored and automatically settled free of charge. Selecting to settle e-invoices not automatically but by an ordinary one-time transfer in the SB LInija is very easy as no payment order form has to be filled. In this case the typical fees for transfers in euro are applied.
The e-invoice service can also be used by those clients that do not use the SB Linija. Visiting any customer service point of the bank, they can order the provision of e-invoice service in the bank's unit, conclude automatic payment agreements and settle e-invoices by a one-time transfer.
We would like to draw your attention that consents provided before 2016 by the bank's clients to pay by means of the direct debit to those service providers that have not chosen to provide e-invoices have become invalid since the beginning of the year. These clients will be able to pay these service providers themselves by transferring charges and fees in the on-line banking SB Linija or in the bank's units. If an amount of payment is stable, it is convenient to conclude a standing order agreement and the funds will be transferred automatically.
The bank's clients who have not used the direct debit service up to now, may order the e-invoice service by login to the SB LINIJA, in the bank's customer service points or addressing the service providers directly. The list of the service providers that submit e-invoices as well as the service provision conditions and other detailed information are available on the website of Šiaulių BAnkas in the section E-Invoice.
