Šiaulių Bankas is Going to Encourage Small and Medium-Sized Business Even More
Focused on small and medium-sized business Šiaulių bankas is going to increase its lending capacity offering more credits to the customers and providing wider spaces to businesses.
At the meeting with the representatives of the European Investment Fund (EIF) the Bank’s representatives Donatas Savickas and Viktoras Budraitis discussed opportunities to re-guaranty Šiaulių bankas loan portfolio up to 50 per cent. . “Such type of re-guarantying would provide an opportunity to grant more loans without increasing the capital and, of course, would strengthen the Bank’s reliability, “ - says Vilnius Regional Director of Šiaulių bankas Viktoras Budraitis.
At the moment loan portfolio re-guarantying is provided only to the “Investment and Business Guarantee Fund” UAB (INVEGA). The negotiations are taking place between Šiaulių bankas and the European Investment Fund. In the event the loan portfolio re-guarantying agreement is signed, Šiaulių bankas will become the first bank in Lithuania that has received such re-guarantying which will provide the bigger financial opportunities to businesspeople allowing developing and improving their businesses.
The European Investment Fund is an institution of the European Union possessing the highest possible reliability rating and governing multiannual programme of financial support to the European enterprises in which special attention is paid to small and medium-sized businesses.
