Šiaulių Bankas has been short-listed as one of the applicants for the elite European business Oscar


Šiaulių Bankas AB has been selected among ten European companies in  European Business Awards that are claiming for The ELITE Award for Growth Strategy of the Year. Šiaulių Bankas has also been awarded as a National Champion for the very successful operation in Lithuania.

In recent years the Bank has been consistently expanding and strengthening its position in the Lithuanian market, therefore, we are particularly pleased to hear that our development has been so highly rated internationally too", - admitted Chief Executive Officer of Šiaulių Bankas Vytautas Sinius.

According to the CEO of Šiaulių Bankas  the bank's growth has been especially fast over recent years - size of loans issued to small and medium-sized businesses and  residents has increased whereas acquisition of the bank Finasta allowed expanding the range of services in the field of investment services. Šiaulių Bankas is leading the field of multi-apartment house renovation programme financing.


This year European Business Awards are organized for tenth year in a row.  Winners of the competition which has involved more than 33 thousand companies from 34 countries are selected by the well-known European business leaders, academics, and representatives of politics.

Šiaulių Bankas has been selected as one of the National Champions by the independent commission which took into account such criteria as innovations, business ethics and success. "I am delighted to inform that Šiaulių Bankas AB has been selected as a National Champion. This assessment indicates that the company is very important to the success of the European business community and its business is based on innovations, business ethics and success", - said Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards.

Last year, the companies representing all countries of the European Union, Turkey, Norway, Switzerland, Serbia and Macedonia participated in this competition. Total turnover of the companies participating in the competition exceeded EUR 1.2 trillion and the total number of employees went above 2.5 million.
