Šiaulių Bankas has been recognized as The Safest Bank in Lithuania


For the fourth consecutive years Global Finance, the international business and finance magazine, has recognized Šiaulių Bankas as The Safest Bank in Lithuania for 2017.  

Global Finance has named World’s 50 Safest Banks and the Safest Banks in 106 countries around the world. 

"We are pleased to know that influential financial institutions recognize performance of Šiaulių Bankas  - the nomination of The Safest Bank in Lithuania has been granted  to us for the fourth time in a row and , what is more, Global Finance nominates Šiaulių Bankas as the Best Bank in Lithuania every consecutive year since 2015.  This is not only a significant recognition, but also an obligation to further ensure efficient performance, high quality of provided services and continuous improvement", -said Vytautas Sinius, Chief Executive Officer of Šiaulių Bankas.

The list of the safest world's banks was compiled through an evaluation of their financial indicators  and long-term foreign currency ratings from Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch. Last year credit rating agency Moody's upgraded the long-term deposit rating of Šiaulių Bankas.

This year the European banks dominate in the list of World’s 50 Safest Banks -  even 10 top banks ranked  in the list are the banks from Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, and Luxembourg. 

In 2016, solid business magazine The Banker nominated Šiaulių Bankas as The Best Bank in Lithuania.  The same year Global Banking & Finance Review recognized the bank as the Best SME Bank in Lithuania.
