Pay out of Insurance benefits to the clients of credit union Namų and credit union Baltija is about to start


From 6 October 13:00 this year Šiaulių Bankas starts paying out insurance benefits to the clients of credit union Namų and credit union Baltija in accordance with the insurance event dated 25 September 2017. The depositors will be able to take their funds back  in all 65 customer service points of Šiaulių Bankas operating in 37 cities and towns of Lithuania.

Insurance benefits  are calculated and shall be paid out in euros. The depositors will be able to choose one of the following  ways to collect their  insurance benefit:

  • in cash;
  • by transferring it to the account with Šiaulių Bankas (if  they are the clients of Šiaulių Bankas);
  • by transferring it to any credit institution registered in the European Union.

Please note. Upon arriving to collect the insurance benefit, the depositors must have a valid document for personal identification - a passport or ID card, and in case of  legal entities (if the authorized person applies) - a power of attorney approved in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts. If the depositor prefers transferring the insurance benefit to another credit institution, he should be aware of his account number therein.

The customers may contact Šiaulių Bankas for a pre-ordering of funds  and coordination  the time of a visit by tel. 1813.

Following Law on Insurance of Deposits and Liabilities to Investors, the depositor's right to receive an insurance benefit shall be in force for  the period of 5 years from the date of the insured event, therefore, the depositors will be able to withdraw insurance benefits later, i.e. over a 5-year period.
