Interest applied to time deposits in litas and euros is changing

Since January 19th 2012 Siauliu bankas is increasing annual interest rates for the time deposits placed for the period longer than 6 months - depending on currency and term they will increase by 0,1 - 0,3 percentage points. Also, be informed that in terms of campaign the depositors can receive interest for the placed time deposits immediately until January 31st of the current year.

Henceforth Siauliu bankas shall pay 2,5 per cent of annual interest for the time deposits placed for half a year period, 2,8 per cent - for the 9 months deposits and 0,3 per cent - for one-year deposits. The depositors placing the depositors for 4 -5 year period will be entitled to 3,7 per cent of annual interest.

The depositors who prefer keeping their savings in euros will also receive higher interest. 2,3 and 2,8 per cent of annual interest shall be applied to  six months and one year deposits in euros respectively.

Since this January time deposits with Siauliu bankas can be placed in Great Britain’s sterling pound, Norwegian krone and Swiss francs.  Placing the deposits in pound sterling for a one-year period the depositors are to receive 1,8 per cent of annual interest while 2,45 per cent is paid for deposits in krone and 1,3 per cent - for the deposits placed in francs.

Moreover, Šiaulių bankas pays by 0.15 per cent higher interest for the time deposits placed via the bank’s e-banking system “SB linija” for the period longer than half a year in comparison to the interest paid for the deposits placed in the client service centres, while the interest higher by 0.1 per cent will be paid for the deposits placed via the Internet for the period shorter than half a year.

All deposits with Siauliu bankas are insured in the State Undertaking “Insurance of Deposits and Investments”.
