Information to Corporate Clients with regard to security of operations on the SB Linija

Šiaulių Bankas kindly reminds that following the security requirements for the on-line payments passed by the Bank of Lithuania and seeking to enhance the on-line payment security, since 1 April 2016 the clients, except those who are using e-signature or code generator, will have to sign certain orders on the on-line banking system SB Linija not only by entering respective passwords from the PIN card, but also with an additional password, which will be sent to them by SMS.

The additional security measure, i.e. a password sent by SMS, will be required while transferring amounts exceeding 30 euros to the banks registered both in Lithuania and abroad.  This type of SMS shall be sent free of charge.

The corporate clients, except those who are using e-signature or code generator, are  asked to specify a mobile telephone number to the bank,  to which they will receive SMS with the additional password. Until 1 April 2016, a telephone number may be specified on the SB Linija: the window with the link to a contact number update form opens right after logging to the on-line system banking.

The corporate clients exercising different transaction management rights  may sign this contact number update form according to the signature level assigned to them: a form of a  user who is not entitled to sign or is entitled to the second (lower) signature right has to be undersigned by the a user with the first (main) signature right.

A telephone number may also be provided in the customer service point of the bank. 

Before 1 April, the entered telephone number may be correct on the SB Linija selecting the menu section Settings —> Form for Contact Number Update. After 1 April, the earlier specified telephone number could be amended only in the customer service point of Šiaulių Bankas.

  • Employees of Šiaulių Bankas will never ask you, either by telephone or via e-mail, to provide Your telephone number, payment card data or data required to login to the on-line banking system.
  • The telephone number for sending SMS with the additional password may be provided only by You in person and only in two aforementioned ways, i.e. on the SB Linija or in the customer service point of Šiaulių Bankas.
